How to use it
- Add a photo of your face taken straight on, in even light, in front of a plain wall.
- Choose the photo size, or enter your own width and height in millimeters. Set the resolution (300 dpi is standard for printing).
- Move and resize the frame so that the face sits inside the dashed guide.
- Choose the background color, and decide whether you want one photo or a print sheet. Process and download.
Tips
- The requirements differ by country and by office. Check the official rules for the size, the head position, the background color and the expression before you print.
- A plain, evenly lit wall behind you gives the cleanest background change. Hair and shadows can leave a rough edge, so zoom in on the preview.
- For a print shop, a 4 × 6 in sheet is the most common size. You can cut the photos along the thin guide lines.
- If you need a file for an online application, choose "One photo" and check the size limits of the form.
Frequently asked questions
Is the result accepted for my passport or ID?
It depends on the issuing office. This tool cuts and arranges photos to the size you choose, but it cannot check face position, expression or lighting. Please read the official requirements.
What size is a passport photo?
Many countries use 35 × 45 mm (for example Korea, the EU, the UK and Japan). The USA uses 2 × 2 inches (51 × 51 mm). The size list has these and other common sizes, or you can enter your own.
Can I change the background to white or blue?
Yes. Turn on the background option and choose a color. It works by comparing colors, so a plain background is needed for a clean result.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Your face photo is processed in your browser only.
